Taste test your fruit first if you're able to. Don't play Russian roulette with your fruit!
Summary
SuperChef's dropping the ultimate fruit picking masterclass, and honestly, you need this. Darnell breaks down exactly how to spot the perfect strawberry: dark red color, that sweet smell, a little give when you squeeze it, and absolutely no white spots or moisture that'll make them mold fast. He's also hitting you with the golden rule: only shop at stores that let you taste fruit before buying it. Why gamble with your produce? He's tackling watermelons, blackberries, and blueberries too, plus storage tips so your fruit actually stays fresh. No more Russian roulette with your shopping cart.

All right, so now Super Chefer Supermarket
Now we're about to tear down the produce section
Now, I told you I was going to teach you how to pick the perfect fruit, even though sometimes you can it can be perfect and still not be sweet
So, we're going to dive into strawberries first
So, we got tons of
strawberries here
Like, strawberries are easy because you want bright color
So, let me show you the difference
Bright color
Stay away from any whiteness that you see like this
Like, they should be that dark red color
And like, come back over here
Look at these ones
These, look at the difference.
Look at how much darker these ones are
You want that
You want the leaf to be green
You want them to be a little bit firm, but you want them to have a little give to them cuz you don't want no hard strawberries
So, you do want a little bit of give in there
And strawberries should literally smell sweet
So, you
want the smell, you want the bright color, you want them to be dry because that's what's going to help them store well
If they have that moisture in them, they're going to spoil and mold a lot faster and easy. and stay away from any white spots that's on the strawberries
That is like unripened
fruit
You never want to really go that far
Strawberries are easy, but they should smell delicious
They should look perfect
They should be dark, dark red in color, and they shouldn't be firm, not too firm
So, this is an easy pick for you
And go to a grocery store
Listen, go to a grocery store that
allows you to taste the fruit you're about to actually buy
If they don't let you taste it, if you can't pick a grape out and eat it, it ain't the place to buy your fruit from
So easy
Super Chef versus Supermarket
